yesterday, mason and i went grocery shopping. we got to the frozen food section, and mason said he wanted popsicles. i said sure, and we proceeded down the isle to look for the special treats. as i was perusing the goods, mason said, from the cart... "those ones, mommy".. i pointed at one and said "those ones?", he said no. finally after a few tries, he said "let me out of the cart" of course i didn't want him out.... usually he hates being in there, and the one time he is complying... so i moved the cart closer to the freezer so he could give me a more specific "point".
of course he was pointing at the haagen-dazs ice cream bars. you now the ones. five bucks per bar. creamy, delicious ice cream covered in rich milk chocolate. mmm mmm good. so i bought one of the expensive bars, and a box of frozen yogurt popsicles.
after lunch, he asked for a popsicle. i brought out the box, and he said "no no mommy, not those ones, i want the special one!" he's three and he knows the goodness!
problem is, he couldn't finish the five dollar ice cream. so who else got to enjoy the goodness.. yes our princess pele!

ok, this last shot is heaven! I LOVE it. Great moment captured. Well done, vicki!
ReplyDeletehi vicki - i had to look at these again! Such a fun session. The last one is still my fav. but i also love the shot of you focused in on the ice cream bar on the counter & mason licking his hand in the background. There's a story right there. xoxo
